Dr Billy Graham says retirement doesn't mean uselessness…Graduates from private Christian schools are more likely to volunteer…Women’s ACC Tournament starts today at the Greensboro Coliseum (Headlines for Thursday)

Dr Billy Graham says he is anticipating the day when “all the burdens and  sorrows that press down upon (him) at this stage (in his life) will be over.”   But he says retirement doesn’t mean uselessness.  The older generations still have a duty to lead the way for younger believers. He says, quote, “As long as we are still breathing, we are still leading the way.   Old age may have its limitations and  challenges, but in spite of them our latter years can be some of the most rewarding and fulfilling of our lives.” The interview appears in ‘Do Well’ magazine, a publication of Crown Financial Ministries.  http://crown.org/Press/docs/Billy_Graham_Nearing_Home.pdf

Feeling a sense of ‘civic duty’ – According to a new study, students who attend and graduate from private Christian (Protestant) high schools are more likely to ‘volunteer’. Here are some of the numbers: 83% of Protestant high school graduates are more likely to volunteer as adults compared to 48% of public school grads…and 23% of homeschooled students (?).  Christianity Today (RnR)
