Distracted: Walking and using our mobile devises can be dangerous, even deadly… (News for Tuesday)

Forecast: Partly sunny with scattered thunderstorms this afternoon…High 86

Walking and using our mobile devises can be dangerous?  Reports of
injuries to distracted walkers treated at hospital emergency rooms have more
than quadrupled in the past seven years. Also, there has been a spike in
pedestrians injured or even killed in traffic accidents, but there is no
reliable data on how many were distracted by electronics. State and local
officials are struggling to figure out how to respond, and in some cases asking
how far government should go in trying to protect us…from ourselves and our
gadgets.    http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/arts-and-life/life/texting-talking-while-walking-injuries-shocking-164387866.html
