 “Under God” harmful to students?  An unnamed family has sued a New Jersey school district, claiming that the phrase “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance discriminates against atheist students and violates the state constitution’s right to equal protection. One person was killed in a wreck involving a car and a garbage truck on southbound Business 85 near baker Road in High Point this morning. Bond or no bond:  What to do with Davie County High School has been an issue in the county for more than 10 years.  A new school bond is asking voters to support one new high school and close the current high school in Mocksville.
