Crop Walk Against Hunger

October 21, 2007

Four Walk Sites:
Corpening Plaza, Downtown Winston-Salem, NC
Fourth of July Park, Kernersville, NC
Tanglewood Park, Clemmons, NC
Walkertown Park, Walkertown, NC

Crop Walk is an event for Church World Service which is an international relief, development, and refugee resettlement agency operating in over 80 countries, including the United States. While Church World Service is the primary beneficiary of the walk, Crisis Control Ministry and Sunnyside Ministry each receive a portion of the proceeds. Last year we raised almost $50,000.

I have three awesome kids – Andrew, Carley and Laura. My husband, Alton, is a delivery driver by day with dreams of one day publishing his own comic book. Yes, he is a geek, but I love him anyway.

I have been working at WBFJ since September 2004 when God threw me out of the boat I was riding in and set me on a new and wonderful course. I love co-hosting the morning show, although the lack of sleep does make me a bit loopy at times.
