Forsyth Tech is expanding its automotive program. The old Pinebrook Shopping Center will soon be transformed into Forsyth Tech’s Transportation Technology Center set to open in January. Students can apply for the new automotive programs in November. The new center will accommodate 400 more students. (Educational Event) Artifacts from Blackbeard’s trademark ship the Queen Anne’s Revenge will be on display through the end of October at the Greensboro Historical Museum. Scientists discovered the wreckage in 1996. The display is part ofGreensboro’s “17 Days Arts Showcase”.
Katie Kenseth, the wife of NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth, broke her shoulder blade last night after she crashed during practice for a wives charity race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Katie was driving a “Bandolero” car during practice which resembles a full-bodied go-cart. Katie was treated and released from a Charlotte hospital. The “Better Half Dash” will run before the Sprint Cup race on October 15th inCharlotte.
