Today is April 15 normally the deadline for filing your income taxes.

This year’s deadline has been pushed to Monday (April 18)     http://goo.gl/aMVAw2

Why April 18?  Well, it’s Emancipation Day in Washington, DC   (which commemorates the end of slavery).

For the rest of the country, Emancipation Day is celebrated traditionally on June 19 known as ‘Juneteenth’.    http://goo.gl/YtxqFJ
