A new study coming out of Harvard links depression and anxiety in girls with exposure to the chemical Bisphenol A (BPA) in the womb. BPA is chemical found in certain metal and plastic containers, toys, cash register reciepts, etc.
Here are some tips to help you steer clear of BPA…
Avoid Canned Food & Drinks
Avoid Receipts-Many cash register reciepts are coated with BPA which can absorb into your skin. If you don’t need it ask the cashier to throw it away.
Aviod Type 3 and 7 Plastics-Look for the number inside the triangle on the bottom of most plastic containers and bottles
Take Care When Canning- Some canning jars may have BPA in their liners.
Nurse Your Baby-This is a surefire way to make sure there is no BPA coming from bottles and formula containters.

I have been working at WBFJ since September 2004 when God threw me out of the boat I was riding in and set me on a new and wonderful course. I love co-hosting the morning show, although the lack of sleep does make me a bit loopy at times.
