If anyone ever walked the earth that deserves a “Well Done, Good & Faithful Servant”, in my opinion, it is my Aunt Mary. She never married or had a family. Instead, she gave her entire life to reaching children with the Gospel in Bible Clubs and Summer Camps. Her physical heritage bears no heirs, but her spiritual lineage runs deep.
It’s seems only fitting that God numbers her days beyond a century. Her story is nothing more than a life of faithfulness – in serving her Savior and dwelling in His presence.
For most of us, the fair evokes a broad spectrum of memories – from our own childhood to the days we boarded the carousel with our own toddlers…today, my memories are like a homespun quilt from Yesterday Village – a true reminder of the fabric from which are lives are sown. Happy 100th Birthday Aunt Mary – it’s a privilege to be cut from the same cloth…and in your honor, I enjoyed chocolate chip cookies for breakfast, because that’s what you would have served…now if I can find some KFC for lunch….
