Pineapple on a pizza is not so unusual. Pineapple on pizza is called a Hawaiian pizza (although it was invented by a Canadian).

What about bananas?   Bananas are delicious. A unique taste easy to eat, lots of vitamins and nutrients. It’s a little harder to find in the US, but in Sweden banana on pizza is a popular topping.

BTW: Iceland’s president once joked that if he could do anything without getting in trouble it would be banning pineapple on pizza.

A week after the midterms, newly elected lawmakers are arriving in Washington this week for their “freshmen orientation.”

They will be here for nearly two weeks of briefings, a class photo and the infamous office lottery, in which new House members will each draw a number. Those with lower numbers will have a better chance of getting nicer offices, whereas the higher numbers may mean cramped spaces.  Members of Congress won’t officially start their jobs until early January so the next couple of months will be spent building a team and a life in Washington D.C. *Members of Congress make $174,000 a year but that money often has to fund a home in both Washington and their district.
