Update on Bill Bloxham, the homeless man in Winston-Salem who was brutally attacked by three teenagers back in January: 

*Bill remains in ICU with serious injuries. After a brief setback with pneumonia, Bill is responding well to treatment. Bill is scheduled for surgery on his eye on Friday (Feb 10).

Volunteers needed: The Salvation Army (Winston-Salem) needs volunteers to assist with distributing coats through the recent “Give a Kid a Coat Campaign”. The biggest storm to hit the Northeast this winter dropped a foot or more of snow along the New York-to-Boston corridor on Thursday.  More than 3,500 flights were canceled across the region.   Some additional snow is expected over New England thru early next week.  The Weather Channel

 

A federal appeals court has refused to reinstate President Trump’s travel ban. The states in the latest lawsuit said the president’s executive order unconstitutionally blocked entry based on religion. An appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court is likely.  WND / Fox News
