Shoe Cutting Party
Date: Mar 2 2013
Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Proceeds: Mission trip to Jinja, Uganda to help provide shoes and to participate in several Jigger removal clinics that are very common in Uganda and many third world countries.
Jiggers disease (small insects – like fleas) is an epidemic which causes parts of the body to rot. They often enter through the feet. Once inside a person’s body, they suck the blood, grow and breed, multiplying by the hundreds and in most cases eventually becoming fatal. It can be treated (mainly by wearing shoes) and ways to help prevent infestation.
