Community: Serve Kick-Off
Join us on Sunday July 7th at 5:30 pm at Calvary Baptist Church to kick off our week. During the kick off we will hear from local community leaders, we will pray for the week, and you will have an opportunity to meet with the organization with which you are serving. We will end the evening sharing a meal together.
Camp Hope (www.camphopenc.com)
Camp Hope is a week long day camp (July 8-12) for children who are in the foster care system as a result of abuse or neglect. The goal is to develop self-worth, character and faith in the lives of campers through a fun, safe and loving environment. Volunteers are needed as counselors, assistant counselors and camp staff (nurses, coaches, food servers, photographers, etc.). * Volunteers working with children will need to register 10 days in advance in order to conduct a background check.

Galen Tidd Memorial Sports Camp
Galen Tidd lived out the heart of Isaiah 61 spending himself on behalf of the poor. He loved to serve neighbors and share Christ particularly through sports ministry. Before his passing in January of 2013, Galen organized dozens of sports camps throughout Winston-Salem as well as around the country and world. He wanted to provide a high quality sports camp free of charge to inner-city youth teaching them about sports skills and Jesus. And he always made sure his campers were well fed too. This camp is in honor of Galen’s legacy.
