Job Coach, Randy Wooden, joined Tami and Tracy this morning to discuss the importance of quality cover letters and thank you notes when searching for work.
According to Randy, a cover letter along with your resume is a great way to customize your information to the specific job you are interested in. To make yours stand out, consider using columns in the middle paragraph illustrating the requirements for the job as laid out in the ad and your qualifications which satisfy those requirements.
Thank you notes as a follow up to an interview are also essential. Randy suggests emailing a thank you message the day of the interview and also sending a handwritten thank you note.
