Calvary Baptist Church ending its partnership with the Boy Scouts of America…

Through much prayer and discussion, Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem will end its partnership with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) as of December 31st, 2013.  In a statement on their website, Calvary Baptist saying that the Boy Scouts’ recent controversial policy change on Homosexuality directly challenges the moral standards of churches across America that sponsor scouting troops.  Calvary Baptist Church will continue to invest in the character development of boys and young men by starting a relationship with “On My Honor”, a similar kind of national character development program such as the Boy Scouts.  BTW: The Church has sponsored troop 942 for nearly 60 years. http://www.calvarynow.com/scouts
