Spring Furniture Market: Police step-up security in downtown High Point

High Point Police say they will increase security during the upcoming Spring Furniture Market.  After the recent terror attack in Boston, local law enforcement will follow safety procedures that were put into place shortly after 9/11. Additional officers will be present and random security sweeps will be conducted.

Restrictions: No ‘street parking’ next to Market buildings during the event…No large trucks deliveries will be allowed in the downtown area during Market hours (7am to 7pm)…No vehicles should be left unattended:  Food caterers and small delivery vehicles MUST have someone who can stay with the vehicle while a delivery is being made.  *Police are asking all attendees to wear their badge at all times, and report any suspicious activity.   The Spring Furniture Market in downtown High Point runs this Saturday through next Thursday (April 20-25). http://myfox8.com/2013/04/16/police-to-increase-security-ahead-of-high-point-market/
