Kids and Depression

Kids and Depression

A big thank you to Licensed Professional Counselor, Lisa Holbrook, for spending some time with Tami and Verne this morning to talk about kids and depression.  Lisa says if you think your child is struggling with depression, the earlier you can have him or her evaluated and treated, the better the outcome will be.

Lisa’s practice is in Kernersville. To contact her,  call 336-699-7340. Correction:  (336) 669-7340.

Also, Lisa recommends this article from Mark Gregston as a great resource for more information about the warning signs a teenager may show if they are having suicidal thoughts:

About Tami With-an-i

Co-Host, Your Family-Friendly Morning Show

I have three awesome kids - Andrew, Carley and Laura. My husband, Alton, is a delivery driver by day with dreams of one day publishing his own comic book. Yes, he is a geek, but I love him anyway.

I have been working at WBFJ since September 2004 when God threw me out of the boat I was riding in and set me on a new and wonderful course. I love co-hosting the morning show, although the lack of sleep does make me a bit loopy at times.
