The FBI has taken over the investigation in the aftermath of two bomb blasts near the finishing line of the Boston Marathon on Monday.  Just a few details: There are three confirmed fatalities. Local hospitals in the Boston area reported 144 patients being treated for wounds, at least 17 were listed in critical condition. The blasts happened near the medical tent that had been set up to care for fatigued runners. The US Geological Survey reporting that a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the Iran-Pakistan border earlier today. CNN

Pastor Rick Warren and has been using social media to give the rest of us a glimpse in how the Warren family is dealing with the sudden death of the son Matthew. A private funeral service was held over the weekend… Some encouraging Tweets: “Music, not words, have brought the most comfort. Influential Christian author Brennan Manning once stated that “…the greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips and walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle…” Manning – the author of The Ragamuffin Gospel and Abba’s Child – passed away on Friday after years of health problems.
