Broken

Broken

I’m a little anxious as I write this today.  My 15 year old son, Andrew, is having surgery tomorrow to repair a broken bone in his foot.  It’s not a huge surgery and he’s expected to make a full recovery, but he’s my “baby” and I’m concerned for him.  Would you remember us in your prayers?

The bone he is having fixed is notorious for not healing well without help.  The doctor told us that because there is a limited blood flow to the portion of the bone he broke, there only about a 50% chance it will heal without surgical intervention.  So, the doctor is going to place a screw inside the bone which will force the fracture closed and allow the bone to knit itself back together.

Life doesn’t always work the way it’s supposed to, does it?  Hurts sometimes, often times, run too deeply to be healed without help.  Are you in that place today where your heart or spirit is broken beyond what you can handle?  If so, I’m praying that you will allow our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and our Prince of Peace to penetrate into the depth of your pain and heal the places that are broken.

Co-Host, Your Family-Friendly Morning Show

I have three awesome kids - Andrew, Carley and Laura. My husband, Alton, is a delivery driver by day with dreams of one day publishing his own comic book. Yes, he is a geek, but I love him anyway.

I have been working at WBFJ since September 2004 when God threw me out of the boat I was riding in and set me on a new and wonderful course. I love co-hosting the morning show, although the lack of sleep does make me a bit loopy at times.
