Update: One section of I-77 back open (as of 10am)
I-77 (both NB and SB) is back OPEN between Hwy 21 and Hwy 67. That
section of I-77 was closed for most of Friday morning because of a police
standoff near Jonesville. The suspect holdup at a hotel (America’s Best Value Inn) in Jonesville, surrendered to police just before 10am this morning.
Details: The Winston-Salem Journal reporting that a Yadkin County sheriff’s deputy was injured Friday morning while attempting toserve a warrant. The deputy was not
