Local church in Greensboro will be making paper snowflakes for the students at Sandy Hook during its ‘Birthday Party for Jesus’…

This Sunday morning (Christmas Eve – Eve)… First Presbyterian Church in Greensboro is holding its annual “Birthday Party for Jesus”. In addition to celebrating the birth of Jesus, the children’s department will be making paper SNOWFLAKES for the students at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

When school resumes for Sandy Hook, it will be in a new building. Parent-volunteers are working to ensure that the students are welcomed back by a winter wonderland
with the entire school decorated with as many unique snowflakes as possible. We
encourage senders to be as creative as possible, remembering that no two
snowflakes are alike. Please make and send snowflakes by January 12, 2013 to…

 A “Day of Mourning” on Friday (DEC 21) in Newtown, Connecticut  –  A moment of silence was observed around 9:30am Friday morning – in Newtown and around the nation – marking the hour one week ago today that a lone gunman forced his way into Sandy Hook Elementary School and fatally wounded 20 students, six adults then himself.
