Positive flu tests in the state have quadrupled since early November. Health officials emphasize that it’s not too late to get a flu shot. If you get sick: Please stay home, rest and get better or you will likely infect everyone else around you. Wash your hands. Hand washing is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of germs and infections. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. More information about preventing the flu: www.flu.nc.gov
