You can soon be a ‘wheel’ watcher or rider in the Big Apple. Plans are underway to build the World’s TALLEST Ferris wheel in New York City. The 625-foot-tall ‘New York Wheel’ will be designed to carry over 14-hundred passengers (Yes, all at ONE time). The Wheel, a 100-shop outlet mall and a 200-room hotel is expected to bring in lots of visitors to the Big Apple. Traffic Alert: Winston-Salem 52 NB at the University Parkway Bridge closing Saturday evening Highway 52 NB will be completely closed at the University Parkway Bridge starting Saturday evening (8pm) thru Monday afternoon…due to bridge work Note: Highway 52 NB on-ramp at Hanes Mill Road also will be closed… Police will be ‘directing’ traffic at the four intersections during the heaviest traffic times. DETOUR: Take University Parkway north (Exit 115-A) for about 1.5 miles to the Highway 52 NORTH access road. Traffic will still be able to access University Parkway south by taking Exit 115-B.
