NCHE Homeschool Conference and Book Fair through Saturday in Winston-Salem…

The annual NCHE Homeschool Conference and Book Fair starts this Thursday (May 24) and runs through Saturday (May 26) at the Benton Convention Center in downtown Winston-Salem.   New this year:  Workshops for the parents of pre-schoolers.     www.nche.com

BTW: Several FREE workshop sessions will be offered Thursday afternoon (between 3pm and 4pm) including:  “Give Me ONE Good Reason to Homeschool”,  “Toddlers, Tweens and Teens…Oh My!”  and “The Struggling Reader”.

Did you know…Homeschooling enrollment is exploding!!  Nationwide: Some 2 million students are taught at home.   In North Carolina: More than 83,000 students were homeschooled in 2011.  BTW: If current trends continue, homeschooling in North Carolina will push past private school enrollment over the next five to 10 years.
